Hot Buttered Houjicha Chai

This buttery hot drink will warm you up with its creamy properties and spicy finish.

  • 16 oz apple cider
  • 1T & 1t houjicha chai compound butter (recipe below)
  • 1 cinnamon stick to garnish


Step 1
Add 16 oz apple cider to a saucepan; bring up just to a boil
Step 2
Add in 1T + 1t houjicha chai compound butter to saucepan
Step 3
Turn heat to low and whisk vigorously to melt and emulsify the butter with the cider
Step 4
Continue simmering for an additional 4-5 mins to infuse the spices
Step 5
Serve hot with a cinnamon stick as garnish

Cocktail option: Add 1oz of dark rum to each mug before adding infused cider; stir well and serve
