Shiso, also known as Japanese mint, wild sesame or Perilla, is a key culinary herb of Asia. Scientists have studied shiso tea’s ability to restore health with its high antioxidant value and aromatic compounds. Other notable uses include cold and flu prevention, skincare, anti-aging, respiratory support and digestion. Green shiso lends an almost tea-like quality to infusions, especially when blended with citrus peels or other brightly acidic ingredients.
