Blackberry Shiso Iced Tea

Malbec Red Wine

Prepare

Makes about 1 Liter. Serve in punch or cocktail glasses.

1 pint Blackberries
1 Blood orange
26g honey or agave
95 mL Pomegranate juice
150mL Brandy (Mexico)
450mL Blackberry Shiso Iced Tea
245mL Malbec Red Wine

Directions

Cut blood orange into slices and then sixths. Add half to 3/4 of cut blood orange and half pint of blackberries to pitcher. Muddle gently to release juices of fruit, leaving fruit intact. Add sweetener and pomegranate juice to fruit mixture and stir. Add brandy, Blackberry Shiso Iced Tea, and Malbec and stir to integrate fully. Build out glasses with ice and remaining fruit and serve.

Blackberry Shiso Iced Tea

Add 14-16 grams Blackberry Shiso to a 650 mL Simple Brew. Add 250mL hot water, steep 6 minutes and crash with 250mL cold water. Strain and chill in refrigerator.
